MORE THAN JUST A BUILDING

Our facility is more than a workspace; it’s a physical reflection of who we are as a company. Located in the heart of Downtown Stillwater, it combines nearly 70 years of craftsmanship with thoughtful design choices that speak to both our history and our future.

Today, our operations span over 24,000 square feet, making it one of the largest facilities of its kind in the area. It’s here that we fabricate, meet with clients, plan projects, and carry out the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running smoothly.

BUILT WITH PURPOSE

The original manufacturing facility was built in 1976, followed by a warehouse expansion in 1978. But the most significant transformation came decades later.

In 2007, we began planning a full renovation to better utilize the space we had. Two years later, in October 2009, we celebrated the grand opening of the fully remodeled facility – complete with showroom space, modern offices, and an open layout that supports both function and flow.

The goal wasn’t just to modernize. It was to create something timeless. A place that could reflect our values and the quality of our work.

A “RETRO WAREHOUSE” WITH CHARACTER

One of the defining features of the remodel was its design. Led by company president Steve Green, the vision was to create a “retro warehouse” feel, where industrial elements meet handcrafted detail.

You’ll see that vision clearly in the main great room, which features tin ceilings, sleek finishes, and clean architectural lines, all anchored by a custom glass stairway that brings light and movement to the center of the space.

But what makes the space truly unique are the stories tucked into it.

MATERIALS THAT TELL A STORY

Scattered throughout the building are pieces of local and regional history—carefully preserved and thoughtfully integrated into the design.

  • A 16-foot-tall window from the OSU Library Bell Tower stands as one of the focal points, offering scale and character you don’t find in modern construction.
  • Vintage light fixtures from Stillwater’s First United Methodist Church, dating back to about 1921, now hang in the space, adding character and a sense of history.
  • Steel doors salvaged from the 1924 Okfuskee County Courthouse were uncovered during cleanup and given a new life here. (A set of these “sister doors” can also be spotted at Mexico Joe’s.)

Mixed in with these historical details are modern elements chosen to complement them.

We incorporated tin ceilings, which are new but look vintage, a glass stairway, and glass railings – all of which help create our ‘retro warehouse’ look,” says Steve Green, president of Lee Glass & Window and designer of the remodel.

BUILT TO SUPPORT THE WORK

While the remodel brought a fresh look and better flow, it was also designed to work hard behind the scenes. The entire facility is powered by a geothermal HVAC system with ten 250-foot-deep wells, which now heats and cools nearly four times more space than before, while cutting utility costs by about two-thirds. We also added expanding foam insulation in key areas to minimize energy loss and reduce noise, reused materials from the original structure where we could, and installed low-energy lighting to help lower our environmental footprint.

These updates weren’t just practical; they reflect the way we approach every project – with long-term thinking and attention to detail. From the glass railings to the reclaimed finishes, every part of this facility was built to support the kind of work we do every day. Whether it’s a custom storefront or a single-window repair, this space was made to handle it; with care, efficiency, and pride.

If you’re ever nearby, feel free to stop in. We’d be happy to show you around!
